Spending my birthday at work is not a very good idea but I don’t have any choice either. I already have 3 days off this week and I can’t ask for more or I will be in trouble not physically but my performance will be affected and that’s not really good too.

I am not quite happy thinking my situation but this is part of my daily life and I need to accept it with open arms and will always be optimistic. The greetings keep coming from my work mates and managers as well. It’s a little bit embarrassing since I didn’t prepare anything for my birthday maybe because am too old now to have a party…. Hhhmmmm.. not too old coz am just at my early 30′s. I’m just very busy trying to balance everything from a full time mom and a full time worker but am enjoying it, spending time with my beautiful daughter and at the same time working in Polar Fresh – Coles CDC as a team member. Questions bumped me about my plans after work, what I’m having for my birthday and more and more and it ended up having a GIFT! The smile on their faces were so lovely and I loved it. My working environment is wonderful, the people are friendly but of course not all but most of us are, the managers are approachable and the admin are very considerate with different situations. I was embarrassed when one of the manager announced it throughout the DC! LUCKY me that there are 3 of us on our shift celebrating our birthdays today. Best wishes to them too.

GIFTS! It is always present in every special celebration whether celebrating it with a party or not! Its either a birthday, a baby shower, wedding, etc. It’s always ended up giving and receiving gifts. For my birthday I still ended up having gifts even though I didn’t really celebrate or hosting a party.

The first and the BEST gift I have was last night when I chatted with my youngest brother and telling me that the only GIFT he can give me is his PRAYER. It’s sounds very simple but for me PRAYER is the precious and priceless gift that you can ever give to a person. BLESSINGS is always comes from the prayers and it is endless.

When I woke this morning I saw a CARD from my loving husband and the KISS from my little girl says a lot and when she sang a HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY! wow! that was amazing! It’s funny though because she still can’t pronounce it properly but the thought that she’s doing it on my birthday was beautiful.

At work, my manager gave me a cake and my teammate sang a happy birthday to me and give their wishes during our team meeting. The smile on their faces makes me happy and not regretful on working on my special day.

Arriving home from work always be the best time of the night. My husband cooked spaghetti and bought some cake, this is even better. Too late to have my dinner but not too late for my birthday, it serves as midnight snack.

That’s what happened on my BIRTHDAY today! Simple but Special.
